The European market has leaned more and more towards notebook sales as opposed to desktop computers, as these average priced laptops are more than capable of performing all the day to day tasks. It certainly seems to be a wise choice to opt for a lightweight, portable laptop over the bulky static desktop machine. HP Compaq is still the market leaders, consolidating their position at the top of the tree and the rival with sales that all the others aspire to; there are pretenders to their throne.
